A rare and highly distinctive complete Czechoslovak lounge suite, attributed to Morávek & Munzar, 1970s.
The set consists of a three-seat sofa, two matching swivel armchairs and a matching footstool / ottoman.
All pieces share the same sculptural construction, characteristic black 4-star metal bases and original textured upholstery in a warm beige tone.
The armchairs retain their original swivel mechanisms and offer generous, deep proportions.
The sofa follows the same distinctive upholstered form and easily and quickly converts into a comfortable bed / daybed with sleeping area approx. 128 x 195 cm, making it highly practical for everyday use.
This design is attributed to Czech designers Morávek & Munzar and represents the bold, individual character of Czechoslovak furniture design of the 1970s.
