A charming pair of mid-century modern tripod table lamps manufactured in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s.
The lamps feature the iconic Space Age / Atomic design: a geometric, barrel-shaped shade made of original plastic foil slats stretched over a black lacquered metal wire frame.
The shade in a muted, smoky neutral tone creates a soft, diffused ambient glow when lit – very typical for Czech lighting of this period. The base is a minimalist metal tripod standing on three splayed legs.
The construction is entirely original. A rare and highly decorative pair, perfect as bedside lamps or atmospheric accent lamps.
The delicate foil construction is increasingly sought after by collectors of Eastern European mid-century design.
