A classic example of Czech modernism in the style of Marcel Breuer’s tubular steel furniture.
The desk features a rectangular oak-veneered top supported by a chromed tubular steel frame.
The construction is distinctive with U-shaped side frames and V-shaped brackets carrying the top.
It is designed as a double-sided partners desk and can be used from both sides, offering generous legroom and ample storage.
On both sides, there are two pedestals, each with four deep drawers.
The top drawer is equipped with a lock that secures all four drawers of the respective pedestal.
One key is present and operates both locks.
The drawers feature slim chrome handles mounted to the lower edge of each front.
The wood has been refinished with a satin lacquer, preserving the original oak veneer.
The chrome frame is in original condition, polished, with light patina consistent with age and use.
